Springtime in Alaska

The first time I visited Alaska, I couldn’t believe how stunning the mountains were.

The jagged peaks reminded me so much of fantasy films like The Lord of the Rings, except this was real. I was beholding them with my own two eyes. And they are so unbelievably large. I could hardly fathom all the valleys and secret places there are among these mountains that no one has explored.

But the mountains are not the only beautiful thing there, I noticed that I was surrounded by wildlife like I had been only in a few places before. From Humpback Whales to the different types of birds, there was always something to see there. One of my favorite pictures I got was of the Bald Eagle resting on the snow mound, the afternoon light shining on it. There is something so regal about nature that is easily lost on us in our modern worlds, and Alaska has it in spades.
